15 Great Ways To Lose Weight Fast
Trying to lose weight quickly? You can lose 10 pounds in no
time by following these tips. Watch what you eat and keep
healthy foods handy; dine and snack on vegetables and fruit and
losing weight will be easy.
It’s not as hard as you might think – these tips can help
you lose that first 10 pounds, or get past the plateau and lose
the last 10. This plan can also help you to maintain a
healthy weight; it’s an all around healthy weight loss and
maintenance plan.
1. Keep track of what you eat. This doesn’t mean counting
calories; just write down what you ate and about how much. Just
knowing what is going into your body will help you to plan a
healthier diet.
2. Cut your added fat intake in half. This is pretty simple;
use half as much butter on your toast, half the mayonnaise on
your sandwiches and half as much oil for sautéing.
3. Limit sweets to three times a week. This means candy,
desserts, pastries and so on.
4. Get your protein from lower fat sources. Instead of red
meat, have fish, beans, chicken or low-fat yogurt as your
protein source. It’s OK to have red meat, eggs and nuts
sometimes, but don’t have them every day.
5. Have at least two meals a week (a lunch and a dinner is
good) which contains no meat or dairy. Include lots of high
fiber, low fat whole grains, beans and vegetables.
6. Switch to lowfat dairy products. Drink 2% milk instead of
whole milk; if you already use 2%, go to 1%. Buy lowfat cheeses
and yogurt – make sure that your yogurt is sugar-free as
well.
7. Eat at least two servings of fruit per day; whatever
fruit is in season will do nicely.
8. Skip the soda, milk and alcoholic beverages when possible
and drink water instead.
9. Make sure to eat at least two servings of vegetables at
lunch and at dinner – it’s OK to go for seconds on your veggies
if you’re hungry.
10. Don’t bolt your food. It takes time for your body to
realize it’s full – eating fast makes it easy to overeat.
11. Try grated carrot for snacks – for some reason, it’s
more filling than a whole carrot.
12. Replace refined grains such as white rice with whole
grain products. They’re more filling, more nutritious and they
help improve digestive function.
13. Go for foods that have some chew to them. This means
more fiber, slower eating and a more satisfying dining
experience. Instead of drinking juice, eat fruit. Instead of
soup, go for a hearty stew.
14. Plan your meals and your shopping in advance. You’re
more likely to choose something unhealthy if you grab a quick
snack out of hunger.
15. Don’t watch TV while you eat. Studies have shown that
people eat more when they are watching TV – most likely because
they are paying more attention to what’s going on on the TV
than on their plate.
